LaFleur Minerals Expands Abitibi Land Position with Acquisition of 27 Claims Near McKenzie East

LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) has announced the acquisition of 27 mineral claims totaling approximately 701 hectares adjacent to its McKenzie East Project in Québec's prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt. This strategic expansion increases the company's overall Abitibi land position to more than 23,100 hectares across 490 claims, solidifying its footprint in one of the world's most renowned gold-producing regions.

The newly acquired claims include ground containing the historical Maruska gold showing. LaFleur plans to explore this prospective area through a combination of data compilation, drilling, and other exploration activities. The addition of this property aligns with the company's district-scale strategy, which aims to consolidate a large land package along a major structural break that hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits, as well as several other showings.

In parallel with its land expansion, LaFleur is refurbishing its 100%-owned Beacon Gold Mill, located near Val-d'Or, Québec. The mill, capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day, is expected to restart operations in the coming months. Initially, the mill will process existing stockpiles and potentially material from the company's Swanson Gold Project. This move positions LaFleur to capitalize on its exploration successes and generate near-term revenue through custom milling services for other nearby gold projects.

The combination of expanded land holdings, exploration opportunities, and planned mill operations underscores LaFleur's commitment to advancing its district-scale vision in the Abitibi Gold Belt. The region's strong infrastructure, including accessible roads and proximity to multiple mills, enhances the development potential of the company's projects.

LaFleur recently released the results of a positive Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Swanson Gold Project, which is approximately 19,214 hectares in size and includes several prospects rich in gold and critical metals previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. The PEA, coupled with the planned mill restart, is expected to drive value for shareholders and stakeholders.

The acquisition of the 27 claims not only expands LaFleur's mineral rights but also provides immediate targets for exploration. The Maruska gold showing represents a priority area where historical data can be leveraged to design effective drilling programs. As the company progresses with its exploration and mill restart, it aims to establish a low-cost production hub in the Abitibi region, benefiting from the existing infrastructure and mining expertise.

For investors and industry observers, this development signals LaFleur's aggressive growth strategy and its potential to become a significant player in the Canadian gold mining sector. The company's ability to consolidate land and reactivate processing facilities in one of the world's most prolific gold belts could yield substantial returns as gold prices remain strong.
