In Nevada, the company has expanded the past-producing Rowland Tungsten Property by approximately 170% and acquired the adjacent White Star Tungsten Project, creating a six-kilometre prospective exploration corridor. At Rowland, exploration has identified a one-kilometre tungsten-skarn geochemical corridor, including a peak soil result of approximately 1,425 ppm WO(3) (0.14% WO(3)), and drill permitting is underway. White Star, with historical production of approximately 10,000 tons grading 1.0% WO(3) in 1954, offers district-scale exploration potential adjoining Rowland.
The company's progress has been supported by a C$3.69 million oversubscribed private placement, strengthening its treasury to fund upcoming exploration. Additionally, Western Star has submitted an application in response to a U.S. Defense Industrial Base Consortium solicitation relating to reliable supplies of strategic critical minerals, underscoring the importance of domestic tungsten for national security and industrial applications.
