Western Star Resources Identifies Two Tungsten-in-Soil Anomalies at White Star Project, Nevada

Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has reported results from its first systematic soil sampling program at the White Star Tungsten Project in Elko County, Nevada, defining two discrete tungsten-in-soil anomalies and elevating the prospectivity of the district. The 253-sample survey, part of a broader 568-sample program across the company's two Nevada tungsten properties, returned a peak value of 2,230 ppm W (0.28% WO3) at sample B206 in the South Zone. The North Zone, larger and better defined, spans approximately 215 by 240 metres and peaks at 156 ppm W. These results complete the 2026 exploration program across both Rowland and White Star.

The North Zone is developed over the contact between Cretaceous quartz monzonite and tactite and calc-silicate hornfels, and contains a historical rock-chip sample that returned 0.126% WO3. The South Zone lies some 700 metres south, over tactite and calc-silicate hornfels described as carrying coarse garnet and diopside tactite with local scheelite—the same geological horizon that hosts the past-producing Mission Cross mine. CEO and President Blake Morgan commented, “Deploying the same systematic approach to exploration at White Star as we did at Rowland has defined two excellent anomalous zones. The northern anomaly is particularly exciting as it's in an area where there has been no recorded historical activity. This geochemistry points to tungsten-bearing rock sitting at or very near surface.”

The soil results also support the use of geochemistry to vector toward mineralized zones, with elevated tungsten values in areas where the intrusive-carbonate contact is under cover. The North Zone sits near a modelled intrusive body from a three-dimensional magnetic inversion and an interpreted magnetic-high lineament, while the South Zone lies approximately 800 metres outside the modelled intrusive footprint within a magnetic-low lineament. A compilation of soil geochemical results, magnetic inversion depth slice, and outcrop sampling is available in Figure 2: Rowland-White Star District data compilation from the 2026 exploration program, showing four distinct targets. Selected tungsten-in-soil results are also provided in Table 1: Selected tungsten-in-soil results from the survey, White Star Tungsten Project.

Looking ahead, Western Star plans to infill the key target zones at 25-metre spacing, extend sampling east where the anomaly remains open, and select drill pad locations to test the four anomalous zones at depth. The company's sequential approach, now validated across both Nevada properties, positions it to advance Rowland and White Star together into drill planning. For the tungsten market, these results underscore the potential for domestic U.S. supply of a critical mineral at a time when Western nations are seeking to reduce reliance on foreign sources. If drilling confirms significant mineralization, Western Star could contribute to a supply chain that supports defense, manufacturing, and green energy technologies. The company also maintains exposure through its Western Star property in British Columbia.

All soil samples were analyzed by ALS Global using lithium borate fusion and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, a method chosen because tungsten is refractory and partial digestions under-report tungsten hosted in scheelite and wolframite. The scientific and technical information was reviewed by Jasper Mowatt, MIMMM, and MAusIMM, a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
