Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has announced an inaugural independent Mineral Resource Estimate for its 100%-owned Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property, located approximately 4 kilometres northeast of Hixon in central British Columbia. The estimate, with an effective date of September 26, 2026, was prepared by Sue Bird, P.Eng., of Bird Resource Consulting Corp., an independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101. The resource is based on 24 NQ-sized surface diamond drill holes totaling 8,466 meters, all completed by the Company.
The Halo-North Hixon zones contain an Indicated Mineral Resource of 10 million tonnes at 0.56 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq) for 178,000 ounces of gold, plus an Inferred Mineral Resource of 71 million tonnes at 0.44 g/t AuEq for 1.0 million ounces of gold. The estimate uses a 0.15 g/t AuEq cut-off grade, open pit mining assumptions, and metal prices of US$3,600 per ounce gold and US$40 per ounce silver. Detailed tables and figures are available in the Table 1. Inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate for the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property at the Base Case cutoff - Effective Date September 26, 2026 and a Click to see the figure which is a long-section through the center of the deposit, looking SW at Az=235o. The figure plots the composited and block Au grades for both the Halo and North Hixon zones of the deposit. The resource pit is shown in black with. A sensitivity analysis is provided in Table 2 is provided to illustrate the sensitivity of the estimate to cut-off grade. The base-case cut-off used for the Mineral Resource Statement is highlighted. Sensitivity cases do not constitute alternative Mineral Resource Statements..
President and CEO Frank Callaghan commented, “This inaugural mineral resource estimate is a tremendous achievement for Golden Cariboo and validates the strength of the Halo discovery.” He noted that the resource was defined from only 24 of the 30 Company drill holes, totaling less than 8,500 metres, yet outlined over 1.0 million ounces of inferred gold and 178,000 ounces of indicated gold. The Halo deposit extends over a strike length of 1,150 metres and is about 420 metres wide and remains open in all directions. The Main zone and four other parallel targets remain outside the current estimate, providing compelling opportunities for future resource growth.
The project benefits from excellent infrastructure: it is road-accessible year-round, located 4 kilometres from Hixon, and near an existing rail corridor. Major suppliers and services are available in Prince George and Quesnel, both about 45 minutes away. This positions the project to advance efficiently while maximizing local employment and economic benefits.
However, the estimate faces known risks. The property is in the traditional territory of Lheidli T'enneh First Nation, and future permitting will require consultation. No metallurgical testing has been carried out, and a material portion of the estimate is Inferred, which is too speculative to have economic considerations applied. The Company has not completed a preliminary economic assessment, pre-feasibility study, or feasibility study, and no production decision has been made. Mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability.
An independent NI 43-101 technical report will be filed on SEDAR+ within 45 days. The Company intends to use the MRE as a foundation for step-out and infill drilling, targeting upgrades of Inferred to Indicated resources, along with metallurgical testwork and environmental baseline studies.
