Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has completed its Phase One diamond drill program at the Coho Property in central British Columbia, marking the first-ever drilling of the Coho Zone, a copper-gold porphyry target located 90 km north of Fort St. James and 30 km west of the Mt. Milligan Cu-Au porphyry deposit. The program consisted of seven holes totaling 2,667.00 metres, testing an area of 1,000 by 800 metres and a vertical extent of 474 metres. The 8,000-hectare property is road accessible via a network of Forest Service Roads and logging roads.
The drilling targeted multiple features within the Coho Zone, including a sizable 400m x 800m induced polarization (IP) chargeability and resistivity high, the Chinook showing with historic channel samples grading 0.08 g/t Au and 0.29% Cu over 11.4 m, and the King showing with a historic channel sample of 0.68 g/t Au and 2.83% Cu over 1.0 m. Hole CH-26-07 was drilled 500 metres north of CH-26-05 based on preliminary results of a concurrent IP survey, targeting a deep chargeability high and an ESE-trending structure. The IP survey comprised four east-west lines totaling fourteen line-kilometres, including three lines spaced 200 metres apart completed 200 metres north of the historic 2023 survey. A total of 1,415 drill core samples, including standard reference material and blanks, were submitted to Bureau Veritas' lab in Vancouver, with assay results expected in late 2026 or early 2027. For detailed collar information, the company has provided Table 1: Drill collar details for the 2026 program and a 2026 drill plan map at the Coho Property.
The completion of this program matters for the raw materials sector because it represents the first drill test of a porphyry target that has never been drilled, despite hosting high-grade gold and copper values from surface rock grab samples. Positive results could extend the mineralized trend near the Mt. Milligan deposit, a significant copper-gold operation, and attract further exploration interest in central BC. The company also conducted a surface exploration program at the Masu Zone in June 2026, targeting the potential eastward extension of the "A Zone" identified by Pacific Empire Minerals on its adjoining Trident Property, where drilling returned 240.0 m of 0.64% Cu, 0.41 g/t Au, and 2.8 g/t silver (Ag). Results from Trailbreaker's Masu program are being compiled; additional property details are available in the company's link to presentation.
At the Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern BC, Trailbreaker completed a six-hole, 1,684-metre drill program in early August 2026, targeting the Highlands Zone, a high-grade vein-hosted gold target, and the Swan Zone, a Cu-Au-Ag-Mo porphyry target, spaced 26 km apart. Assays remain pending, as detailed in the August 10, 2026 news release. The company has since contracted Eagle Mapping for an airborne property-wide LiDAR survey to aid in mapping lithologies, veins, faults, and geological contacts, and Aurora Geosciences Ltd. to complete an independent NI 43-101 technical report replacing a previous report filed in December 2022. President and CEO Daithi Mac Gearailt stated that with assay results expected soon from both the Highlands gold and Swan copper-molybdenum porphyry targets, Trailbreaker is well positioned to provide a steady flow of news through the remainder of 2026 and early 2027.
