Nicola Mining and Ocean Partners Commit $10 Million to Blue Lagoon's Dome Mountain Project

Nicola Mining Inc. (NASDAQ: NICM) (TSX.V: NIM) (FSE: HLIA) and Ocean Partners UK Limited have jointly committed $10 million in financing to Blue Lagoon Resources (CSE: BLLG), with each investing $5 million, to advance the development and production ramp-up of Blue Lagoon's 100%-owned Dome Mountain Gold and Silver Project near Smithers, British Columbia. The funding aims to support the project's targeted production rate of 150 to 200 tonnes per day.

Nicola completed its investment through a private placement at $0.60 per share, acquiring 8,333,333 common shares. This follows Nicola's earlier $1 million investment in Blue Lagoon in January 2024, while Ocean Partners has now invested a total of $8 million in the company. The financing is expected to strengthen the relationship among mine development, concentrate marketing, and milling infrastructure, with Nicola's wholly owned Merritt Mill playing an increasingly important role as Blue Lagoon advances production.

The Merritt Mill, located near Merritt, British Columbia, is a fully permitted processing facility capable of handling both gold and silver mill feed via gravity and flotation processes. Nicola has signed Mining and Milling Profit Share Agreements with high-grade gold projects, positioning the mill as a key asset in the region's mining ecosystem. This investment is a strategic move for Nicola, as it not only provides capital to Blue Lagoon but also secures a role for its milling services, potentially increasing throughput and revenue.

Nicola also owns 100% of the New Craigmont Project, a high-grade copper property covering 10,913 hectares along the southern end of the Guichon Batholith, adjacent to Highland Valley Copper, Canada's largest copper mine. Additionally, the company holds the Treasure Mountain Property, which includes 30 mineral claims and a mineral lease spanning over 2,200 hectares.

The Dome Mountain project is a significant asset for Blue Lagoon, and this financing is expected to accelerate its path to production. For the mining industry, this collaboration highlights the trend of strategic partnerships between mining companies and investors to de-risk project development and ensure efficient processing. For investors, this move signals confidence in the project's potential and the region's mineral wealth.
