MAX Power to Present Canada's First Confirmed Natural Hydrogen System at IMAGE '26

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) announced that President and Director Chad Levesque will present an overview of Canada's first confirmed Natural Hydrogen system at the Lawson Complex in south-central Saskatchewan during IMAGE '26 – International Meeting for Applied Geoscience & Energy, scheduled for Aug. 19 in Houston. The presentation will detail ongoing drilling efforts aimed at delineating what the company describes as the world's first large-scale commercial discovery of a new primary energy source.

The Lawson Complex is currently advancing through a multi-well commercial validation program designed to define the system's scale, continuity, reservoir characteristics, and commercial potential. The first well in the program, Lawson 2, encountered approximately 860 meters of continuous elevated Natural Hydrogen readings, including the highest readings recorded to date at Lawson, while providing evidence of an enhanced fracture system within the Precambrian basement complex. Drilling has since advanced to Lawson 3, which is positioned to provide a third data point as MAX Power works to better understand the deposit's potential volume.

Natural hydrogen, also known as white or gold hydrogen, is generated naturally through geological processes and has emerged as a potentially transformative clean energy source. Unlike conventional hydrogen production methods that require energy input, natural hydrogen can be extracted directly from subsurface reservoirs, offering a lower-carbon alternative. If commercialized, it could significantly impact the global energy landscape by providing a new, domestically sourced primary energy resource.

For the mining and energy sectors, the implications are substantial. The successful development of the Lawson system could pave the way for a new industry focused on natural hydrogen exploration and production. It could also influence investment trends, with companies seeking to secure land positions in prospective geological settings. MAX Power has already built a dominant district-scale land position across Saskatchewan, holding approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen.

The company's broader portfolio includes critical minerals properties in the United States and Canada, highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, 100%-owned by MAX Power's U.S. subsidiary. This diversification positions the company to benefit from both the energy transition and the growing demand for critical minerals.

Levesque's presentation at IMAGE '26 will be a key opportunity for industry stakeholders to learn about the latest developments at Lawson and the potential for natural hydrogen to become a viable energy source. The conference attracts geoscientists and energy professionals from around the world, making it an ideal venue to showcase the technical progress and commercial viability of the project.

As the world seeks to decarbonize, natural hydrogen could play a crucial role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Unlike fossil fuels, its combustion or use in fuel cells produces no carbon dioxide, making it an attractive option for hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy industry and transportation. The confirmation of a large-scale natural hydrogen system in Canada could spur further exploration globally, potentially reshaping the energy supply chain.

For investors, the news underscores the emerging potential of natural hydrogen as an investment opportunity. As more data from the Lawson drilling program becomes available, the market will be watching closely to see if it confirms the company's optimism about the world's first large-scale commercial discovery.
