G Mining Ventures Corp. (TSX: GMIN) (OTCQX: GMINF) has reported promising exploration results from its wholly owned Gurupi Project in Maranhão state and its Tocantinzinho (TZ) mine in Pará state, Brazil, according to a company update. The announcement highlights the potential to expand gold mineralization both near-surface and at depth, which could lead to resource growth and extended mine life.
At Gurupi, drilling extended mineralization approximately 250 metres beyond the 2025 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at Blanket, with intercepts including 79.6 metres at 1.78 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 63.5 metres at 1.28 g/t gold. At Mandiocal, mineralization was extended up to 125 metres below the 2025 MRE pit shell. More significantly, maiden drilling at Grodiocal confirmed a new near-surface gold discovery, highlighted by 23 metres at 1.97 g/t gold, including 9 metres at 4.24 g/t gold. An updated Gurupi MRE is expected before year-end and will form the basis of a Preliminary Economic Assessment targeted for completion by the end of 2026.
At TZ, drilling up to 150 metres below the current pit design confirmed continuity of mineralization at depth, with results including 78.1 metres at 1.81 g/t gold, including 16 metres at 4.34 g/t gold, and 51 metres at 1.31 g/t gold, including 7.8 metres at 6.42 g/t gold. Regional exploration has also defined a 15-kilometre-by-3-kilometre mineralized corridor hosting the TZ deposit and multiple satellite targets. Year to date, G Mining Ventures has completed approximately 33,600 metres of its accelerated 65,000-metre Gurupi program and 14,500 metres of its 25,000-metre TZ program. These results matter for the mining industry because they demonstrate the potential for resource expansion at two key assets in Brazil, a jurisdiction known for its mining-friendly policies. The new discovery at Grodiocal and the depth extensions at TZ could increase the company's gold reserves and production profile, attracting investor interest and potentially leading to further development. For readers focused on raw materials, this signals ongoing exploration success in a region that is becoming increasingly important for gold production. G Mining Ventures is anchored in Brazil with the Tocantinzinho Gold Mine and the Gurupi Project, as well as Guyana with the Oko West Project. GMIN trades on the TSX under the symbol “GMIN”.
