Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has defined priority drill targets and outlined a planned six-hole, approximately 3,050-foot (930-metre) drill program at its 100% owned, past-producing Rowland Tungsten Property in Elko County, Nevada. The targets integrate data from the company's 2026 Phase 1 and Phase 2 field programs, a UAV magnetic survey, three-dimensional magnetic inversion, and rock-chip, channel and soil assay results, forming the first modern, integrated dataset assembled across the property.
The program is designed to test tungsten-in-soil anomalies at depth where they coincide with contacts modelled by magnetic inversion or with ground beneath historical workings. All four planned drill pads are sited on existing disturbance. The planned holes are preliminary and subject to adjustment pending field verification and permitting. A Figure 1: Planned drill holes at the Rowland Tungsten Property over gridded tungsten-in-soil results. Hole locations are preliminary and subject to adjustment pending field verification and permitting. illustrates the planned collar locations.
At Rowland Main, four holes totaling 1,850 feet are planned. Three holes from a single pad beside the historical open cut will test a shallow modelled magnetic body beneath the soil anomaly, where rock-chip, float and channel samples returned up to 4.02% WO3. A fourth hole will test the bedrock source of soil sample R079 (4,240 ppm W; 0.53% WO3), the highest value returned by the Phase 2 soil program. At Northern Zone B, two holes totaling 1,200 feet will test beneath historical shafts and an ore chute, where rock-chip samples returned 0.35% to 1.22% WO3, and the roof of a modelled magnetic body approximately 165 metres below surface.
"Rowland has come a long way in a single field season," said Blake Morgan, CEO and President of Western Star. "We started with a historical record that pointed to one past-producing zone, and we are finishing with three zones of confirmed workings, an integrated modern dataset, and a ranked drill target inventory ready for permitting and drill testing. ... The team at Western Star will be looking to drill multiple assets over the next few months and move towards bring a source of Tungsten back into the hands of the United Staes of America."
Permitting is advancing in parallel, with KC Harvey Environmental preparing a Plan of Operations for submission to the U.S. Forest Service and a Nevada reclamation permit. The company will provide updates as milestones are reached. No new assay results are reported; soil geochemical values represent surficial dispersion and are not indicative of grade or mineral resources. Detailed target and drill hole information is available in Table 1: Rowland drill targets and planned drilling. and Table 2: Planned drill hole collar locations and orientations, Rowland Tungsten Property.
In a separate announcement, Western Star has engaged PanAm Marketing Inc. for digital investor awareness services from on or about October 15 to November 15, 2026, with a total compensation of CAD $60,000 payable in cash. No equity or performance-based compensation is payable, and PanAm is at arm's length to the company.
The Rowland program matters because tungsten is a critical mineral with few U.S. sources, and advancing a past-producing asset could help reduce reliance on foreign supply. For the mining industry, the integrated exploration approach demonstrates how modern geophysics and geochemistry can revive historical districts. For investors, the permitting and drilling milestones will be key catalysts. The original release can be viewed at www.newmediawire.com.
