Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) has delivered an AI-powered threat detection system to the U.S. Army under a contract valued at approximately $743,000, the company announced. The system, called the Threat Analysis Kit, integrates the company’s NODE edge-computing platform with Black Widow(TM) drones from Red Cat Holdings (NASDAQ: RCAT). Designed for field-ready battlefield intelligence, the kit processes drone-captured video in real time to identify threats such as landmines, unexploded ordnance, cluster munitions and hostile drones. It also generates detailed 2D and 3D battlefield maps for enhanced situational awareness.
The delivery follows a recent subcontract from a defense prime contractor to provide the U.S. Army with battlefield intelligence capabilities powered by Safe Pro’s patented SPOTD technology. The company expects to train Army personnel before the end of June and provide operational support through the third quarter of 2026. Safe Pro said its AI models are trained on a database of more than 2.8 million drone images and over 50,000 confirmed threat detections collected across more than 35,000 acres in Ukraine, enabling rapid threat identification and analysis in high-risk operational environments.
This contract highlights the growing reliance on artificial intelligence and unmanned systems for military operations. By automating the detection of explosive hazards, the system reduces the risk to soldiers who would otherwise manually search for threats. The integration of edge computing allows the analysis to occur on-site, even in environments with limited connectivity, which is critical for frontline units.

The announcement underscores the strategic importance of AI in modern warfare and the U.S. military’s investment in technologies that enhance operational effectiveness while reducing casualties.
