(CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) has commenced high-resolution airborne geophysical surveys and field exploration programs at its Pinard and Hopkins rare earth element (“REE”) properties in Ontario, the company announced. The work marks the next stage of exploration across two of its Canadian critical minerals projects, with survey results expected to guide future drilling and follow-up exploration.
The exploration program combines helicopter-borne magnetic, radiometric spectrometric and very low frequency electromagnetic (“VLF-EM”) surveys with geological mapping, prospecting and sampling to identify prospective REE targets. Contractor Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc. is collecting the data, which is designed to improve geological interpretation and pinpoint areas of interest.
The company said the surveys are now underway at both properties. The Pinard and Hopkins projects are part of Powermax’s broader North American rare earth portfolio, which also includes projects in British Columbia and Wyoming. Rare earth elements remain strategically important as demand from electric vehicles, renewable energy, and defense technologies continues to expand.
