LAURION Mineral Exploration announced assay results from two drill holes at its Ishkoday Gold and Polymetallic Project in Ontario, highlighting significant gold, silver, copper, and zinc mineralization, and increased its Phase 1 drilling program from 3,865 to 5,605 metres to advance the A-Zone toward a potential maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.
LAURION Mineral Exploration Reports High-Grade Gold and Silver Assays from Ishkoday Project, Expands Drill Program

LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: LME | OTC: LMEFF | FSE: 5YD) has reported assay results from drill holes LBX26-111 and LBX26-112, part of its 2026 Phase 1 diamond drilling program at the 100%-owned Ishkoday Gold and Polymetallic Project in Northwestern Ontario. The project is located approximately 220 km northeast of Thunder Bay and 28 km northeast of Beardmore. The results include multiple high-grade intercepts of gold, silver, copper, and zinc, underscoring the polymetallic nature of the mineralized system.

Drill hole LBX26-111 returned 3.35 metres grading 0.523 g/t gold from 92.30 metres, including 0.60 metres at 2.480 g/t gold, 4.20 g/t silver, 0.04% copper, and 0.45% zinc. Another interval yielded 0.50 metres at 1.255 g/t gold, 5.00 g/t silver, and 1.29% zinc. A third zone returned 1.55 metres at 0.494 g/t gold, 6.87 g/t silver, 0.14% copper, and 0.24% zinc, including 0.65 metres at 1.005 g/t gold, 11.40 g/t silver, 0.20% copper, and 0.33% zinc. Details of the assay summary can be viewed Click Here to see LBX26-111 Assay Summary.

Drill hole LBX26-112 delivered a 1.20-metre interval grading 6.580 g/t gold from 78.80 metres. A broader zone of 6.00 metres returned 0.206 g/t gold, 19.80 g/t silver, 0.28% copper, and 0.83% zinc, including a high-grade 0.50-metre subsection with 1.795 g/t gold, 223.00 g/t silver, 3.31% copper, and 8.47% zinc. Further downhole, 2.20 metres averaged 0.387 g/t gold, 5.93 g/t silver, 0.23% copper, and 0.56% zinc, including 0.70 metres at 1.060 g/t gold, 16.10 g/t silver, 0.68% copper, and 1.20% zinc. A separate 2.10-metre interval returned 175 g/t silver, along with 0.045 g/t gold, 0.03% copper, and 0.39% zinc. The 2026 Phase 1 drill program is designed to systematically advance the A-Zone, with the goal of supporting the evaluation of a potential maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). LBX26-111 targeted the projected continuation of A-Zone mineralization at depth, while LBX26-112 tested the McLeod mineralized horizon, filling a gap between previous 2022 drill holes. These holes aim to improve the understanding of the continuity, shape, orientation, and distribution of mineralization within the A-Zone–McLeod system.

LAURION has increased its planned Phase 1 drilling from 3,865 metres to 5,605 metres across 22 drill holes. The expanded program is informed by SRK Consulting’s independent structural gap analysis of the A-Zone, which identified five priority target areas where additional drilling may address key gaps in the existing drill database. The company is using this framework, along with ongoing drill results, to prioritize near-term drilling as it continues to advance the A-Zone toward a potential maiden MRE.

The assay results highlight the presence of significant gold, silver, copper, and zinc mineralization, which could enhance the project’s economic potential. For the mining industry, these intercepts demonstrate the continued prospectivity of the Ishkoday project and the potential for a large polymetallic system. For investors, the expanded drill program and systematic approach signal LAURION’s commitment to building geological confidence and scale before monetization. The company’s strategy emphasizes disciplined, data-driven exploration and responsible capital allocation, positioning it for potential future development decisions.
