Canadian Phosphate Limited (ASX: CP8 | OTCQB: CPHOF) has been announced as the newest Featured Company of B2i Digital, Inc., a move designed to introduce the mineral exploration company to a broader network of retail and institutional investors in the United States. The Australian company is developing phosphate projects in British Columbia and Utah, positioning itself to help fill a significant supply gap in North America for a mineral classified as critical by the United States, Canada, and the European Union.
According to David Shapiro, Chief Executive Officer of B2i Digital, Inc., "Canada imports about $2 billion of phosphate fertilizer a year and mines none of its own phosphate. It makes its own nitrogen and potash, so phosphate is the gap." Shapiro added that Canadian Phosphate is actively drilling in British Columbia and recently closed on a Utah project adjacent to a major Simplot mine, calling it an impressive team. B2i Digital will feature the company on its platform, with a full profile coming to b2idigital.com.
Canadian Phosphate holds 100% interests in the Wapiti and Fernie projects in British Columbia, as well as the Diamond Mountain project in Utah, acquired in July. A 3,000-meter drilling program is currently underway at Wapiti under the management of Dahrouge Geological Consulting. On September 8, 2026, the company reported that it had extended the phosphate-bearing seam to approximately 9 kilometers on the eastern limb, significantly enhancing its understanding of the deposit's geology, geometry, and structure. First assay results are due in September, with an updated Mineral Resource Estimate under the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Code expected in the fourth quarter.
The Diamond Mountain project is located on state-owned land about 35 kilometers northeast of Vernal, Utah, adjacent to Simplot's 4 million tonne per year Vernal phosphate mine. In August, Canadian Phosphate added a US listing on the OTCQB Venture Market under the symbol CPHOF, complementing its ASX listing. The current work program is funded from a rights issue and placement completed in the second quarter, in which all directors participated.
Managing Director and CEO Daniel Gleeson, who has over 20 years of experience in agribusiness across Australia, Asia, North America, and Europe, stated, "Our strategy is to build a vertically integrated, mine-to-market phosphate business across North America. The drilling underway at Wapiti and the Diamond Mountain acquisition in Utah are both part of that build. Working with B2i Digital lets us explain the plan to a much broader group of North American investors." The board includes Non-Executive Chairman Stuart Richardson, co-founder of Blackwood Capital, along with 35-year financial adviser Malcolm Weber and Canada-based mining veteran Peter Doyle.
For the mining industry, this announcement highlights the growing focus on domestic phosphate sources as global demand for fertilizers and battery materials rises. The involvement of B2i Digital, which reaches over 800 news outlets and 330 million monthly audience members, could elevate Canadian Phosphate's profile among investors and potentially attract capital to advance its projects.
